Eleven awards were handed out during the closing ceremony of the Mobile SIFF section of Shanghai International Film Festival last night.<\/span><\/p>\n

Launched in 2011, the popularity of this category has exceeded expectations, reflecting the rapid development of China’s Internet and the participation in productions of glamorous stars.<\/span><\/p>\n

A total of 9,926 film clips from more than 100 countries and regions were submitted for assessment and more than 30 qualified for various prizes.<\/span><\/p>\n

Grand Short Prize went to Russian film Insignificant Details of the Accidental Episode, which explores a philosophical idea about destiny through a comic story on the railway. Best Director award went to Poland’s Pawel Maslona whose Eclipse deals with the issue of taking care of aged people.
\nChen Minghao won Best Actor award for his excellent performance in Middle-aged Adventures: Out of Breath, and Wei Min was judged Best Scriptwriter for Transfer Station which follows the life of an intoxicated young driver.<\/span><\/p>\n

Best Non-Profit prize went to Brazilian Luisa Pereira for her environmental protection short Unsustainable, and Lu Jie won Best Comedy for One Shoe Walks Barefoot, about the growing experiences of a cheerful girl.<\/span><\/p>\n

Best Thriller\/Suspense prize was won by Asuka Sylvie for Pinion and Best Animation by Yuan Zhichao’s In Post in which funny and classy posters are used in a comedy romance.<\/span><\/p>\n

Jin Huaqing’s Desire of Changhu\u00a0 won Best Documentary and popular film actor Huang Bo’s Special Service\u00a0 won Micro Movie of the Year.<\/span><\/p>\n

The People’s Choice award went to Grandfather’s Possessions directed by Wang Bojun and Li Fei.<\/span><\/p>\n
